FAGAL’s III Andaina Solidaria: a great success
On September 14th, the main event for World Alzheimer Day took place with a great response. More than 200 people walked the streets of Santiago de Compostela to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease.

At 10:30am hundreds of people left from Monte del Gozo to Parque de Bonaval, going through Praza do Obradoiro. This march, led by Federación Alzhéimer Galicia’s president, Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Conselleiro de Sanidad (Health councilor), Jesús Vázquez Almuíña, and Tourism director, María Nava Castro, walked the streets of Santiago de Compostela to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.
The Xunta’s representatives highlighted the significance of having initiatives of this kind to help spreading the word about the work social entities carry out, which are supported by the Xunta de Galicia.
Santiago's mayor, Sánchez Bugallo, welcomed more than 200 participants in this year’s march at the Obradoiro.
Juan Carlos Roríguez thanked the citizen engagement and the commitment of Alzheimer organizations in Galicia. Similarly, he acknowledged the involvement of the authorities in this activity, as well as the support given in every project developed by the federation.
