The Galician Alzheimer Federation attends the delivery of the Galician Gold Medal to Galician healthcare professionals
The celebration took place on Friday, July 24th, and served as a tribute to healthcare workers who fought against COVID-19 in recent months

Last Friday, July 24, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Bernárdez, president of Galician Alzheimer Federation, attended an event in which the Galician Gold Medal was awarded this year to the Galician health professionals involved in the care of the COVID-19 patients.
The event took place at the Centro Gaiás Museum, located in Cidade da Cultura of Santiago, and was attended by different personalities from the world of politics, such as the president of the Xunta de Galicia Alberto Núñez Feijóo. He was in charge of delivering the award with María Ángeles Puga Salas and Laura Martínez, two of the first COVID-19 patients in Galicia.
This award, which serves to pay tribute to the Galician health that was involved as much as possible in patients with COVID-19 during the last months, was collected by 18 representatives of the professional group of the Galician Health Service (SERGAS), being its spokesman Manuel José Vázquez Lima, Emergency Coordinator at Hospital do Salnés.
At this presentation, were also present Iker Sertucha and Carlos Fernández, President and Secretary of CERMI Galicia respectively, and Eloína Ingerto, President of EAPN Galicia.
