Development and management of programs subject to PIT

SOCIAL GENERAL INTEREST PROGRAMS SUBJECT TO PIT

These programs are:

  • Social and health care program in day-care centers
  • Support program for caregivers and family members of people with dementia
  • Program to use technology and technical assistance (assistive products or services that favor personal autonomy)
  • Personal autonomy, active aging and dependency prevention programs
  • Care program for elderly people with cognitive impairment or special needs
  • Volunteer promotion and training programs
  • ICT program for elderly people
  • Social media promoting program and other support and assistance actions

Through these programs, member associations can maintain and develop new services aimed at people with Alzheimer’s as well as their families. Some of these services are:

  • Day-care centers
  • Support and training for family members
  • Lending and advising on technical assistance
  • Active aging workshops
  • Cognitive impairment prevention workshops
  • Promoting and training volunteers
  • New technologies workshops
  • Social media promotion workshops

Federación Alzhéimer Galicia provides advise and support in the development of these programs for its future launch.

Entities that offer this program:

INVESTMENT AND ADAPTATION PROJECT FOR CARE CENTERS AND UNITS FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE OR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Various federated entities are developing investment and adaptation projects for care centers and units for elderly people with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia with the objective of strengthening member associations and their scope of action and intervention. Among all the services these projects offer, you can find transportation to care centers by adapted vehicles, new equipment and conditioning of care centers intended to improve the user’s well-being. This will help making daily activities easier through psychomotor material, cognitive stimulation material... With this program, benefitted organizations will also get necessary material for the centers’ management, which allows greater control on all the daily actions carried out with users (vacations, monitoring, evaluations...)
