The Galician Alzheimer Federation will celebrate its XVIII Interdisciplinary Conference on October 17th
This edition, which will be held online and will feature the presence of Portugal, Ireland and France, seeks to publicize the initiatives of care for people with dementia that have emerged in recent months

On October 17th, the Galician Alzheimer Federation will celebrate its XVIII Interdisciplinary Conference. On this occasion, the event will be held online and the central theme on which it will revolve is 'Alzheimer's disease in times of COVID-19', showing the different measures that have emerged in recent months due to the health crisis.
The day will begin with the intervention of Alzheimer's organizations in Spain, Portugal, Ireland and France, whose representatives will show how the last months have been in each of their countries. In this way, we can observe the main lines of work that will be followed in the future.
From this section we will go to a round table where it will be talk about the current situation in which we find ourselves in Galicia. Different political personalities will participate, in addition to the Board of Directors of the Galicia Alzheimer Federation.
We will also talk about the experience of the Galician Alzheimer's associations, who will be able to tell their point of view and the treatment they have carried out in each of them to continue providing support and activities to their users during the months of confinement.
Due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19, these conferences will be held online, through Zoom.
The registration period is now open and will run until October 8. There will be two types of registration depending on the situation of each person. For students and unemployed people the price is € 25, and for the general public € 50. Registration can be made through the website of the Conference. You can access it here.
